Terms and Conditions:

1. For any pieces with painted bases, you will need to provide your own setters. This is to prevent colours from staining our shelves and potentially transferring onto other students' work. A setter is a clay disc that we use to support your piece during kiln firing. Raku clay is the recommended material for setters. Please speak to us if you need guidance on how to make them.

2. Our regular glaze firings are stoneware temperature. Clay fired in these communal firings must be stoneware, porcelain or raku clay that will not slump at high temperature. If you would like to fire earthenware or midfire clay, you will be able to hire a full kiln.

3. Work needs to be delivered close to the firing date and collected promptly once ready, as we have limited shelf space to store work. Boxes cannot be left at the studio while work is being fired.

4. Any damage caused to kiln and equipment from glaze runs, breakages or unstable work falling over must be paid in full before the work is taken away.

5. Bondi Pavilion Clay Studio reserves the right to not fire any work they deem potentially damaging to their kilns.

6. We avoid firing paperclay as it damages the elements in the kiln. Please speak to us if you require a paperclay firing.
